IN PICTURES: The Committee on Implementation led by Hon. Raphael Wanjala is currently meeting with the Principal Secretary, State Department for Lands Hon. Nixon Korir for an status update regarding the implementation of the recommendations contained in several House reports.
The PS is accompanied by Chairperson of the National Land Commission (NLC). Mr. Gershom Otachi.
Among the reports whose implementation the Committee is reviewing is the Report of the Departmental Committee on Lands regarding Public Petition by former workers of the late Mayer Jacob Samuels on invasion and eviction of workers from their land in Roysambu Constituency by the Kenya Defence Forces.
The Committee will also review the status of implementation on the recommendations contained in the Report of the Public Petitions Committee regarding Public Petition on compensation for Nyanza- Western Kenya Caucus of internally displaced persons and; the Report of the Departmental Committee on Lands regarding Public Petition for the resettlement of Enoosupukia evictees.
