The Committee on Delegated Legislation chaired by Hon. Samuel Chepkonga (Ainabkoi) has given the Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Sanitation a nod to implement a raft of new regulations aimed at enhancing efficiency within the key sector.

Hon Chepkong'a issued the greenlight for the operationalization of three key regulations, during a meeting held today with Principal Secretary for Water and Irrigation Julius Korir and other officials from the State departments.

“As a committee, we are contended that the regulations adhere to legal standards,” remarked Hon. Chepkonga.

Accompanying the PS was the Water Secretary Eng Sam Alima, CEO Water Resources Authority Mr. Mohamed Shurie, Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) Kenya acting CEO Richard Cheruiyot, among others.
