Devolution Committee conducts inspection visits to development projects in Turkana County 𝐋𝐨𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐫, 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
The Standing Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations, led by Wajir Senator Mohamed Chute, lands at Lodwar Airstrip to conduct site visits to various development projects in Turkana County.
Senators are scheduled to inspect the progress in the construction of County Headquarters, the County Assembly Buildings, the Governor's Residence, and the Speaker's Residence.
The Committee will also examine the construction works at Loyapat, Nakwomoru, and Lorugum Irrigation Schemes as well as the construction of various dams across the county.
This inspection visit is part of the Committee's inquiry into stalled projectts in counties to ensure counties effectively utilizing public funds to strengthen Kenya's devolved governance.
