Hon. Ken Chonga elected unopposed as Labour Committee Chairperson๐๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ, ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ญ๐ก, ๐๐๐๐.
In a unanimous decision, Hon. Ken Chonga, Member of Parliament for Kilifi South, has been elected unopposed as the new chairperson of the Labour Committee, succeeding Hon. Erick Muchangi of Runyenjes.
Members have expressed confidence in Hon. Chongaโs leadership urging him to keep the committee vibrant in its working.
Hon. Fabian Muli, Vice Chairperson of the committee, led other members in acknowledging Hon. Muchangiโs contributions and pledged unwavering support to the incoming chairperson.
โWe will offer you our support and commitment in the undertakings of this committee,โ Hon. Muli assured Hon. Chonga.
Hon. Muli further emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the committeeโs objectives.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Chonga expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their trust and confidence in his leadership.
He vowed to adopt a consultative approach in addressing the committeeโs agenda, ensuring that all members are actively involved in decision-making processes.
โI am dedicated to moving this committee forward. I thank everyone for considering me as the chairman of this great committee,โ Hon. Chonga said.
He further emphasized his commitment to advancing the committeeโs mandate, particularly in addressing labour-related issues affecting Kenyans.
