Hon. Jack Wanami Wamboka retains his seat as PIC-Education Chairperson, to be deputized by Hon. Kibagendi𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐖𝐞d𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
Bumula MP Hon. Jack Wamboka was on Wednesday, 12th March 2024, unanimously re-elected as the Chairperson of the Public Investments Committee on Governance and Education. Hon. Anthony Kibagendi, MP Kitutu Chache South was elected as the vice Chairperson.
Hailed as a visionary and transformative leader by Committee members, Hon. Wamboka who is a first-time serving Member of Parliament, lauded the members of the PIC on Governance and Education for according him a chance to continue serving as their leader.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank all the members for believing in me and my leadership, thank the secretariat for their hard work and dedication, and I also thank the members of the Fourth Estate for being a worthy partner in this journey." Stated Hon. Wamboka.
Hon. Wamboka further highlighted some of the milestones achieved by the Committee during his tenure, particularly dealing with institutions like Moi University which the committee had to refer their case to EACC and is now on the right track.
He further noted key priority areas for the year including finalizing on three pending reports and preparing a work plan for the committee.
“We need to hit the ground running and finalize the three reports that are before us as a committee and also come up with a constructive work plan to guide our work for the year." Concluded Hon. Wamboka
