The Justice and Legal Affairs Committee, chaired by Tharaka MP, Hon. George Murugara, today held approval hearings for Sen. Judith Ramaita Pereno, the nominee for the Principal Secretary position in the newly established State Department of Justice, Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs.

Hon. Njuguna has served as the Chairman of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (1999-2003) and Mangu High School (2001-2007).He has also previously served as a board member of Public Procurement Oversight Authority (2012-2013), and Chairman of Moi University Council.

The National Assembly Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations has vetted two nominees, Mr. James Muhati and Mr. Abdi Dubat Fidhow for their suitability to serve as Consuls-General in Guangzhou, China, and Arusha, Tanzania, respectively.
